Sankos thermal conductive silicone sheet is an indispensable member of thermal conductive materials. At the same time, thermal conductive silicone sheet is also divided into two forms, one is the difference between adhesive backed and non adhesive backed. So when we choose to use this material, which one is better? So, Sankos' editor will give you a brief introduction below.
Double sided backing tape for thermal conductive silicone film:
Double sided adhesive tape is mainly used to fix the heat sink and attach the IC to the heat sink without the need for a separate fixing structure, as the product lacks a fixed device or is inconvenient to fix.
Benefit: It can be used to fix the radiator without the need for additional design of fixing structures.
Impact: The thermal conductivity will deteriorate and the derivative coefficient will be much lower.
Provide single-sided adhesive backing for thermal conductive silicone film:
Single sided adhesive is mainly used for the installation and bonding of thermal conductive silicone. For example, a certain backlight source uses thermal conductive silicone with a size of 452 * 5.5, which is not easy to install. Therefore, single-sided adhesive is used to stick the adhesive side of the thermal conductive silicone on the PCB board and the other side on the shell.
Benefit: It can stick to the surface of the heater on one side, and when there is relative sliding of the radiator or housing during assembly, the thermal conductive silicone sheet will not produce positional displacement. Impact: The thermal conductivity will decrease, but it is better than the double-sided back effect. As mentioned above, providing thermal conductive silicone sheets with both single-sided and double-sided adhesive will result in a decrease in thermal conductivity.
